I got a chance at my dream Ernie Ball bass, so others need to go. :) Never gigged and mint except for the small finish cracks at the neck pocket that I didn’t know about when I bought it, the sustain on this bass is extraordinary and all 4 tones are very musical and usable:
Neck pickup, woolly and like a thinner P-bass with less midrange growl
Bridge pickup, nasally Jazz bass lead tone
both, very balanced and full
both with neck at 9: a lead tone with more bottom end
